Impervious to the elements, with no amount of Deet deterring their aggressive blood lust; any outdoors-loving person marks them as a formidable foe. We often joke that the mosquito is the “official bird” of North Idaho. Needless to say, we’ve accepted our fate and do our best to co-exist with the hellish rascals.
